Random Thoughts July 5, 2024

Many say that WordPress is easy. I disagree, UNLESS you find the right training, and then yes, it is easy. I found the right training which is based on fully understanding every little button, link, tab, section, etc. No more struggling to understand what does what and how and where to find it.

Weeks of searching for training like I found today. Last night as I laid down for the night I told my subconscious, lead me to the training I need to understand WordPress. That’s a manifestation technique. It seems to have worked. I will do that more.

Random Thoughts July 6, 2024

1. You rebuild and rebuild so many times, and then get to that final rebuild and SO want to get away from it. Yet, you keep pushing yourself, and then…
you suddenly figure out the issue on one part, so you feel a bit encouraged and it doesn’t feel quite so overwhelming.

2. And I’m a little further than I was when I had to switch themes and reformat everything all over again.
DANG! This has been tough. BUT, over a year ago I gave up on building a website. This time, as shown on the Home page…

3. I don’t know if I’m dazed or just exhausted because I have gotten so much more done and yet I don’t feel like I have.

4. Holy moly, what a journey.
I’ve said it before and I say it again…
I’m freakin amazing!

5. And then sometimes, you’re trying to figure out how to do something, and you’re searching all over. You step away, you come back, and see that you
somehow did what you wanted to do but didn’t know you did.

6. OMG! OMG! OMG! I’m stunned at what I have accomplished this weekend on my website. I’m THRILLED!!!
I still have to figure out funnels, and I’m sure I’ll remember other things, but for now…

1. Speaking of feeling overwhelmed, I got overwhelmed and walked away from this for far too long. A new friend inspired me to get back to it after seeing some shorts she has done on helping others understand social media.

1. I’m going to be chill about this and stop putting pressure on myself to hurry up. I have to realize that whatever I plan to work on on the website may not be what I end up working on. For example …

I was planning on creating a video tutorial, but first, I realized I haven’t checked my website email in weeks, so I went into my website email and it was loaded with Kadence theme and WordPress emails. I realized if someone does sign up to get notified of website updates, I probably wouldn’t know. So I embarked on learning how to set up rules/filters to send those Kadence and WordPress emails to respective folders.

I also realized that I need to be able to access that email on my phone, but found that for some reason, I cannot access it through my phone. BOL this is like a slap-stick comedy.

I still don’t have the filters set up. Right now, I’m getting ready to go through the tutorial on how to set up my email to be accessed on my phone. THEN, I will set up rules/filters, and THEN I’ll do the dad gummed tutorial. LOL

Wowee zowee. BUT … I am not putting any pressure on myself to hurry up anymore because when I don’t, I actually enjoy all of this learning.

Random Thoughts January 20, 2025

1. ChatGpt, I love you. I’m using a NameCheap Knowledge Base document to figure out how to get my contact form to send what is entered to my email address, and it’s like reading a foreign language. I pasted the text into ChatGpt and asked it to help me understand it. After it’s response, I said, “I’m still confused. I’m using NameCheap and I have no idea where I’m supposed to put all this code, or what folder they are referring to in my website.”

From my quick scan of the response, I will have this done tomorrow. Right now I have to get to bed. BUT, once this part is done, I can move on to uploading stuff already written, and creating tutorials. The fun part of website building-creating.

Eventually, when I create a for-profit website, I’ll need to learn how to create funnels and autoresponders, but this contact form is just for those who want to be alerted to new activity on the website by the creator. That’s just a simple message sent to all. No tags, no separating people into various levels in the funnel. Just a simple notification that there’s new material that might help you.

1. Response to ChatGpt: “Oh my, I know nothing. Please think of me as an 80-year old who still has a landline, and has never touched technology and provide the steps to me.” I LOVE ChatGpt.

1. It was my intention, once I got the contact form, email filters, and autoresponder set up, to finish a tutorial on organizing passwords, logins, etc. Because of a recent situation I went through that came up again yesterday, I realized it is more important to provide information to others on how to protect themselves from possible scams, or contracts that do not protect them in the least. So, that is my focus today. If you would like more information about how to protect yourself, please see the Resources menu item at the top of this page.

I am totally blown away at how many people the random thoughts have helped. I really thought this part was not all that helpful. Thanks to all who have commented.

I have my computer back. I should be posting at least once a week. I just started two part-time jobs, and I have to figure out the best times for me to work on the site. I expect to have a much more helpful (in-depth) Red Flags article posted tomorrow, 03/20/25.

Random Thoughts March 21, 2025

Finally able to work on my website again. Currently focusing on Red Flags to look for. Have posted an article on Red Flags to look for in online earning programs. Now focusing on Social Media Red Flags. Then I’ll focus on remote work and virtual assistant work contracts. After receiving a really bad contract for a remote position that did not protect me in the least and was very vague on many areas of concern, I realized that needs to be addressed so others can protect themselves.

But… as is common, I first need to figure out why my comments section is not showing on every post and page, and I need to alter it to remove one section.

That elusive tutorial I was planning on working on ages ago is still on hold while I gather more info on how to protect yourself from scams. I feel protecting yourself from scams is more important.

So nice to be back to it. The article I posted last night was one that I dreaded every time I sat down to work on it, but by golly, it is finally done and posted. Good job, Tina.

This is really cool. I just posted the full version of the Red Flags article a few days ago. That article has helped me so much.

I have someone in Messenger giving me incredibly vague answers about their online earning opportunity. It is so much easier to spot major red flags after having put that article together. I highly recommend reading it – Red Flags.

This is fabulous, even more than I realized. In providing this information for others, I am also benefiting from the information. This truly is fabulous.

Wowee zowee and holy moly. I got the red flags to look for in online earning opportunities article posted on my website. I then, got the red flags to look for in Social Media Profiles article posted. I was then planning to write the article for red flags to look for in contracts, but realized I also need to do an article on red flags to look for in remote work. Each article I do, leads to yet more articles that need to be done. DANG!

One day, I’ll get back to the tutorials I want to write and record.

And I’m still trying to get my comments section to show on all posts and pages.

Random Thoughts March 29, 2025

Finally got my Comments form to be what I want, but still have to figure out why it’s not showing on each page and post. I also have to figure out how to use the template because it’s not an option for me to choose on my page when I choose WPForms to insert it.

In the meantime, I realized I need to do an Acronymns list for social media. Laud! Laud! LOL With every article I write, I realize other articles that need to be written. As long as that keeps happening, I don’t have to worry about coming up with topics; they just reveal themselves.

Random Thoughts April 29, 2025

Holy crap! I truly am my own worst enemy. This free help website is supposed to be focused on helping others who want to earn online, but who have little to no tech or web knowledge.

On this website there is a Red Flags area to help others recognize red flags in online earning programs and social media, but I got so caught in the Red Flags, I was branching off into remote work, contracts, etc. and got buried in trying to protect others in every area possible in earning from home.

My website has nothing to do with remote work and how to recognize bad remote work contracts. That came from me having been sent a really bad contract.

Time to refocus, and get onto something other than red flags because I am pretty sure I’ve covered all the online earning red flags.

DANG! Focus, woman, FOCUS! I love me, but I can be a real pain my behind.

On a very positive note, I managed to get my comments section on every page and post.

To anyone who was forced to provide an email address to comment, I sincerely apologize. I never intended that. Once I realized that was happening, I stopped everything else and focused on getting my comments section fixed, working properly, and not requiring an email address.

I truly am sorry.
